File Menu Help Facilities



This help facilitiy will deal with each of the 4 options in the BlindPenguin File Menu individually. Below is a screen image of the File menu.

If you would like to search for a particular option hit Control & F, and type in your search in the box provided.





Load Config

When this option is selected, it allows the user to open a file. A box will appear containing an entry field and a list of all the files in the users directory. The user can type the name of the file they wish to open in the entry field and then press return. This will open that file. Alternatively the user can scroll through the list of all the files and select the file they want to open by double clicking on it.


If the file the user is trying to open does not exist a message box will appear letting the user know. When the OK button on this message box is clicked, the user will once more be given the option to open a file.




Save Config

This option allows the user to save the settings that they have chosen.




Save As..



This option allows the user to save a file. A box will appear containing an entry field and a list of all the files in the users directory. The user can type the name of the file they wish to save in the text box and and hit return. This will save that file. Alternatively the user can scroll through the list of all the files and select the one that they wish to save by double clicking on it.


If the user is saving over an existing file, a warning message will appear to inform the user. To proceed with saving the user can click the OK button and they can click the cancel button if they do not wish to save the file under this name.


Exit

When this option is selected the BlindPenguin program terminates.
